953 1/2 Amoroso Place
Venice, CA, 90291
The residency at Iris Project is a no-cost, no-obligation opportunity for artists, writers, curators, and creative thinkers without definition to spend a month in Venice Beach, California. The concept is to allow people to spend their time advancing their practice in whatever manner strikes them. Draw, paint, compose, or just read french theory on the beach, whatever you need to do. We encourage (but do not require) engagement with the greater Los Angeles art community, but some may prefer to hide out and concentrate. It’s cool. The residency is housed in a converted carriage house with a full kitchen, on-site laundry and a proper shop sink. There is a detached work studio with full access to the garden and grounds of Iris Project. Parking, studio bike, and even a Juicer that you won’t use complete the Venice setup. More details to come!
We are not yet accepting applications, check back in early 2020 for requirements and opportunities.
